Alixa Sutton
was the choreographer and trainer for Cirque du Soleil's Kooza contortion number as well as the creator of the Mystic Pixies.
Alixa's Flexibility Workshops specialize in helping athletes who never thought they could be flexible! Alixa believes in using non invasive stretching that athletes can do themselves. She focus on learning proper technique to stretch and uses a wide range of new ideas. Her workshops have been a tremendous success. She works with a variety of athletes from competitive artistic & rhythmic gymnasts to ice skaters & horse vaulters! One of her specialties is teaching people how to use stretching to prevent injuries. Gyms all over the country that she has worked with, have reported a decrease in injuries after implementing her techniques.
As a Choreographer, Alixa specializes in contortion and rhythmic numbers. However, she also creates various acts for tumbling, teeterboard, partner acrobatics, aerial numbers and more. Some of her work can be seen on the video page. She has choreographed and planned events for numerous galas, special events, and TV shows. The Mystic Pixies are some of her most successful & popular creations.
Currently Alixa is working as an Artist and creating a Swinging Trapeze number with Victor Fomine in Montreal. She gives flexibility workshops and does work for Le Ecole National du Cirque & Cirque du Soleil, as well as continuing to perform on aerial hoop.
